Online donations
Donation terms
Provisional version, not to be published yet. Information that only the association can provide is missing (highlighted in yellow):
- phrase sur la qualité fiscale de l’association (organisme ouvrant droit aux reçus fiscaux ou non), à faire confirmer par l’expert-comptable
These terms apply to donations made online on this website for the benefit of the association Olami Montpellier (11 Boulevard Henri IV, 34090 Montpellier). By confirming your donation, you acknowledge that you have read them.
1. A free gift with nothing in return
A donation is a voluntary, free gesture: it is not a purchase and gives no right to anything in return. The “badges” or tiers that may be shown on a campaign are only marks of recognition with no market value.
2. Amount and types of gift
- The amount is free, from €1 to €100,000, with at most two decimal places.
- One-time gift: a single payment.
- Monthly gift: the same amount is charged every month until you ask for it to stop.
- One-time gift in instalments: the total of your gift is split into 2 to 12 monthly payments, each of at least €0.50. If the total does not divide exactly, the remaining cents are added to the first payment.
3. Secure payment
Payment is made by bank card on a page hosted by Stripe, our payment provider. The association neither sees nor keeps your card number. Your bank may ask for additional authentication. A donation is only recorded once the payment is confirmed by Stripe; if the payment fails or you leave the payment page, no donation is recorded.
4. Monthly and instalment gifts: stopping or changing them
You can ask at any time for a monthly gift to stop, or for its amount to change, by writing to MontpellierOlami@gmail.com from the address used for the gift. Stopping takes effect for the following charges; sums already charged are not refunded, except in case of error. If a charge fails, Stripe may present it again before ending the subscription.
5. Goals, commitments and matching
A campaign’s counters add up commitments (for example, a monthly gift is counted over 12 months); they are indicative and distinct from the sums actually collected. Some campaigns announce matching (for example “×2”): it is added to your gift to reach the goal, according to the campaign’s own rules, and is never charged to you.
6. Tax receipt
[À COMPLÉTER : phrase sur la qualité fiscale de l’association (organisme ouvrant droit aux reçus fiscaux ou non), à faire confirmer par l’expert-comptable]
- For an eligible donation, a receipt is issued after the payment is confirmed, from the information entered in the form (name, address). Check it before paying: the receipt reproduces it exactly.
- For a monthly or instalment gift, a receipt is issued for each payment collected. A pledge, upcoming instalments and matching do not appear on your receipt.
- The tax reduction depends on your situation and the tax rules in force (in particular articles 200 and 238 bis of the French General Tax Code); the association cannot advise you on your personal situation.
- Entering the raffle is not a donation and does not give rise to a tax receipt.
7. Showing your gift on the campaign page
You choose “Show my name” or “Anonymous gift” in the donation form; neither option is preselected. If you choose “Show my name”, your name (or the optional public name you enter) and your message if any are displayed. If you choose “Anonymous gift”, “Anonymous” replaces your name and your message is not shown. Your email address, postal address and phone number are never shown. To remove your name or message afterwards, write to MontpellierOlami@gmail.com: the display is removed as soon as possible.
8. Gift announced by phone
If you announced a gift during a call from the association, the link received by SMS or email is only a payment convenience: nothing is charged or recorded until you have paid. You can ask at any time not to be called again (see the privacy policy).
9. Mistake or double payment
A donation is voluntary and, in principle, final. In case of an obvious mistake (wrong amount, duplicate payment), please write as soon as possible to MontpellierOlami@gmail.com with the date, amount and name used: the association reviews each request and may refund through Stripe.
10. Your personal data
The information entered in the donation form is used to process your gift, keep the accounts, issue your receipt and, if you choose this display, publish your name. Everything is detailed in the privacy policy; you can exercise your rights from your donor account (“My data”) or by email.
11. Changes to the terms and governing law
The association may change these terms; the version that applies to a gift is the one in force on the date of payment. They are governed by French law. For any question or complaint: MontpellierOlami@gmail.com.
